Alex 3 Allergy test

The ALEX³ Allergy Test is an advanced molecular allergy blood test that measures allergen-specific IgE antibodies alongside Total IgE in a single small blood sample. It's a multiplex profile covering a panel of 300 allergens — including animal dander, cereals, egg, legumes, milk, mites, molds, pollen, seafood, tree nuts, and venoms — with 218 molecular allergens, 107 of which are unique to this test, giving a comprehensive sensitisation profile.

• It's designed to identify and quantify allergen-specific IgE antibodies in the blood, and is used in diagnosing and managing allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, and food allergies. 
• ALEX³ is an update from the earlier ALEX² version, developed to improve global exposome coverage and replace some allergen extracts with defined molecular allergens, incorporating new markers such as alpha-gal. 
• By detecting specific IgE antibodies against a wide range of allergens, it helps identify the underlying triggers of allergic reactions so treatment can be tailored. 
• Because it provides molecular-level detail on cross-reactivity, it helps distinguish true primary allergies from cross-reactive responses — though a positive result doesn't always match clinical symptoms, so it's generally used alongside a consultation with an allergist.
